Tarakanatha is an ex-miner and rugby captain, born and raised in Caerphilly. For over three decades, he has dedicated himself to making truly holistic wellbeing a reality in Wales. Tarakanatha is known for his humour and down-to-earth nature, which endears him to all. He exudes enthusiasm and demonstrates caring and compassion. With his expertise as a practitioner and instructor of meditation and Bhakti Yoga, he has established and led several projects in Wales aimed at supporting the local community.

Treasurer & Head of Administration
Danda currently serves as the Treasurer and Head of Administration. His methodical and analytical approach is a key factor in his success. He is also well-known for his focus and tranquillity. Over his 20 years of service, Danda, along with his wife Vraja, has led many projects, including the successful Govinda's Restaurant in Swansea. Being a proud father of three daughters, he is a family-oriented man who believes that a spiritual life and family life can coexist harmoniously.

Gopala-raya trained as a monk for 10 years here in Wales. He is in his element when teaching others about the science of bhakti yoga.

Food For Life & TThe Atma Lounge Manager
Gopi joined the team in 2017 as manager of The Atma Lounge cafe. More recently she has taken on responsibility for the Food For Life project. Her previous experience in the third sector has been invaluable, with her tireless efforts playing a crucial role in the growth and success of this project over the years. She is a compassionate and dedicated individual who has a deep commitment to helping others.
VAMSI-VILASI
Fundraising Officer
Vamsi is a dedicated member of the team who is responsible for raising funds for various projects, including the construction of Ty Krishna Cymru. Building relationships within the community is also an integral part of his service. As a full-time monk for 7 years, Vamsi is deeply committed to his spiritual practice. He is passionate about studying Bhagavad-Gītā and related texts, learning Sanskrit and contributing his musical skills to Ty Krishna’s mantra meditation sessions!
PALI-GOPI
Communications
Pali has been Head of Communications for the past three years. As part of her role, Pali-gopi is responsible for managing all social media channels, as well as our website, newsletter and more. She is a highly motivated and creative individual who is passionate about using social media to drive engagement and build communities. Her positive attitude, collaborative approach and sense of humour makes her well loved by the team.

Akhandadhi was the Managing Director of Bhaktivedanta Manor and then Buckland Hall for a total of 30 years, during which he developed his expertise in financial planning, budget management and revenue growth.

Karsan Vaghani (BEng(Hons), MBA, CEng MICE, MCIHT, CMIOSH) has extensive experience in the field of engineering, planning and capital project management. Some of his positions have included: Director of Capital Projects (University of Bristol), Deputy Director of Estates Development (Cardiff University), Programme Manager (University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust), Senior Programme Manager (London Ambulance Service NHS Trust), Head of Capital Programme Delivery (Gloucestershire Managed Services, NHS), Project Development Lead (2gether Support Solutions, NHS).

Syama is a highly experienced yoga teacher with more than 15 years of experience. She is currently affiliated with Ty Krishna Cymru, also serving as a trustee. Syama-Gauri's extensive knowledge and expertise in the field have enabled her to guide countless individuals on their spiritual journey towards a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle. With her dedication, passion, and commitment towards the practice of yoga, Syama-Gauri has become a sought-after teacher amongst the community of yoga enthusiasts.

Ayurvedic Practitioner
Sarah is an Ayurvedic Practitioner who will be joining Ty Krishna Cymru's Holistic Health Team. Her approach involves looking at the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of each individual. This allows her to create personalised treatment plans that address the root causes of health issues. Sarah is also an advocate for healthy and sustainable living, being passionate about natural remedies and traditional healing practices.

Kim has a truely holistic approach to health, offering workshops on yoga, breathwork, herbal medicine, as well as soundbath sessions.

Naturopathy
Emma has been working as a naturopath, teacher and healer for 20 years and runs the school of naturopathic Nutrition. After beginning to use naturopathy for healing herself, she trained in naturopathy for 7 years and gained advanced qualifications. She is now a consultant and author, as well as a mother of 3 little girls.

Head Pujari
DAYALU-GAURA
As Head Pujari, Dayalu is responsible for performing daily puja rituals, overseeing the temple's deity worship, and training others in the art of puja. His daily routine is a testament to his dedication to his spiritual practice, understanding that his practice helps him stay focused and centred. Dayalu became a full-time monk, and has now been a resident at Ty Krishna for over 12 years. He is admired for his kind and gentle nature and his devotion is an inspiration to many.

GAURANGA-GOPALA
Gauranga is the well-respected Head Brahmacari at Ty Krishna Cymru, having been an integral part of the community since 2017. After completing his law studies at Sorbonne Université in France, Gauranga travelled to New Zealand, where he started practising Bhakti-yoga. As Head Monk, Gauranga is always willing to offer support and guidance, serving as a mentor and friend to the younger monks.

VRAJA-VARUNI
Vraja is a dedicated mother who is committed to raising her three daughters with the same values she holds dear. As the Children's Activities Coordinator, she is responsible for organising events and activities that help children learn in a fun and engaging way. The Krishna Kid's Club is a weekly program that teaches children through storytelling, arts and crafts, and other fun activities. It has become a staple of the community and is loved by children and parents alike.
